The Mormon Temple Chorley is the 52nd operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The LDS Church took root in Preston, when the first Mormon missionaries arrived in 1837.
Otherwise known as ‘The Preston England Temple’, it anchors an extensive Church complex that includes:

- missionary training center
- family history center
- distribution center
- patron housing facility
- temple missionary accommodations.
Decorating the manicured grounds are mature trees, flower gardens, and a pair of reflection pools near the entrance.
