Be part of the next Chorley 10K and Chorley Family Run in Chorley town centre and Astley Park.
Once again organised by Chorley Council in association with Fylde Coast Runners, the Chorley 10K is licensed by UK Athletics and is accurately measured and chip timed. All entrants will receive a uniquely designed medal.
The races will start and finish in Chorley town centre with 10K participants taking on a two-lap traffic-free course that takes in the beautiful surroundings of Astley Park.
The course will be fully marshalled, signed and have water stations. The 10K race will be chip timed with results available here within 24 hours of the race ending.
The 2019 Chorley 10k sold out in a matter of weeks so make sure you are quick to book your place in 2020. We have added more entry spaces to this year’s event but we anticipate that these will go quick once again this year.
PLEASE NOTE: Entries cannot be refunded or transferred between runners.
Route and Entry Criteria
The Chorley 10K route is a two lap course, which will start and finish on Market Street in Chorley town centre. From the start line, participants will travel up Market Street, turning left onto St Thomas’s Road, travelling along Southport Road before turning right at Ackhurst Lodge to enter Astley Park.
Participants will then follow the path, running in front of Astley Coach House and the historic Astley Hall. They will then run over the lake bridge, past the playing fields and play areas, running towards Astley Park’s main gates. At the gates, participants will turn left onto Park Road and will run up to the junction with the A6 Preston Road where they will turn and travel back down Park Road, on the opposite side of the road. They will then run past Chorley town hall, turn right onto St Thomas’s Road and repeat the course. On the second lap runners will continue down Market Street and through the finish line.
