Norma The Fire Engine

Norma The Fire Engine was welcomed to Leyland, officially in August 2013 and still sits to this day, outside the Hallmark hotel.

Built in 1938, the TL Fire Engine was made by Leyland Motors and used during World War Two.  It followed the Centurion Tank to become the next heritage vehicle to be used in the town’s ‘Made in Leyland’ series.

‘Norma’, the vintage fire engine that has been turning heads in Leyland ever since. It has now become one of Lancashire’s most unusual wedding locations. Instead of putting out the flames, potential brides and grooms are able to fan the flames of romance in the 1938 TL Fire Engine.

Nowadays, it stands as a ‘Welcome to Leyland’ gateway monument.
