NavTrek is an independent grass root navigation training academy based in Lancashire and South Cumbria. It offers NNAS accredited navigation courses by qualified Mountain Leaders. NavTrek was established in January 2020. In fact, the business was born of a desire to support people to safely access the open countryside and outdoor spaces available to us.
Providing courses for all
The physical and mental health benefits of walking in nature are well researched and documented. Indeed, it offers physical exercise, reduced stress, increased mental resilience and an improved sense of wellbeing. Navtrek provide courses across Lancashire and Cumbria for people at all levels of competence. Indeed, from complete novice to advanced night navigation and contour master classes. Furthermore, Navtrek offers an online home study course and cover all aspects of hill safety and mountain safety on our courses.

NavTrek are passionate about empowering people to get outside with the necessary skills to safely enjoy the open countryside. In fact, they place particular emphasis on encouraging families to get outside and explore with their children. Families can benefit from a fun day and half day navigation and hill safety courses. The benefits of the outdoors has also been proven to boost problem-solving skills, focus and self-discipline in children. Finally, the emotional benefits include reduced aggression and increased happiness and the real quality family bonding time is priceless!
